Cookie Policy

Which cookies and browser storage artsflick.com uses, why, and how to change your choices.

Last updated: October 2026

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work, such as keeping you signed in. Others, such as analytics and advertising cookies, are optional and are only set if you allow them. This policy also covers similar browser storage (local storage and IndexedDB), which ArtsFlick uses for a few features described below.

2. Your choices

When you first visit ArtsFlick, a cookie banner lets you accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies or choose by category. Until you make a choice, no analytics or advertising cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time with the button below, and you can also delete cookies in your browser's settings. Rejecting non-essential cookies does not stop the editor or the image tools from working.

3. Cookies we use

Necessary cookies

These are needed for the site to work and are always on.

Advertising cookies

We plan to show ads through Google AdSense. Once ads are live, Google and its partners may set the cookies below, only if you allow advertising cookies where the law requires consent. They are used to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance and, if you allow it, show ads based on your interests.

Google publishes a full list of the cookies its advertising products use in its advertising cookies overview. You can opt out of personalised ads in Google's Ads Settings.

4. Other browser storage

  • Icon cache (local storage): icons you view in the editor are cached in your browser by Iconify, the icon library we use, so they load faster next time. This contains icon data only, no personal information.
  • Image hand-off (IndexedDB): when you upload an image on one of our feature pages, it is stored briefly in your browser so the editor can open it. It never leaves your device.
  • Google consent setting (local storage): Google's ad code may store a small setting that records how consent is handled on the site.

5. Signing in with Google or GitHub

If you sign in with Google or GitHub, you complete that step on Google's or GitHub's own website, which sets its own cookies under its own cookie policy. Those cookies belong to Google or GitHub, not to ArtsFlick.

6. More information

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data overall, including the services we use and your rights. For questions about cookies, email [email protected].
